We are currently inviting applications for a Product/Material Testing Technician. This role is key within the business, as you will play a key part in ensuring our products and materials meet required quality standards, while maintaining a strong commitment to health, safety, and continuous improvement.
About Us
NAVIGATOR TISSUE UK LTD is part of The Navigator Company. Previously known as Accrol Group and established in 1993, Navigator Tissue UK is the UK’s leading independent tissue converter producing private label toilet roll, kitchen roll, facial tissue products and a range of wet wipes for most of the UK’s major grocery retailers. We currently have five manufacturing sites in Blackburn, Leyland, Leicester, Flint and Bridgwater across the UK, but are in the process of moving rolls manufacturing from Blackburn to Leyland. Our vision is to deliver the best possible value to the UK consumer on essential everyday tissue and wet wipe products. Key Responsibilities
- Ensure safety remains the number one priority at all times.
- Work in line with Navigator’s principles and values.
- Conduct quality checks and tests on finished products and incoming materials.
- Accurately record all test results and inspections on the database.
- Identify, report, and elevate anomalies and non-conformances to the relevant departments.
- Use testing equipment safely and responsibly to maintain accuracy and equipment condition.
- Maintain clean, organised work areas and ensure good housekeeping standards.
- Archive samples and quality records in a clear, organised system.
- Adhere to established Health & Safety, Quality, and Housekeeping standards.
- Carry out additional duties in line with business needs when required.
What We’re Looking For

- Confidence to report issues and non-conformances promptly.

Technical & Specialist Knowledge
- Basic understanding of quality control and inspection processes.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety practices in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Ability to carry out product and material testing using standard testing equipment.
- Understanding of non-conformance reporting and quality documentation.
- Basic IT skills for recording test results and maintaining records.
Training will be provided where required.
