We are currently recruiting for the role of Bids & Proposals Lead. We are looking for candidates who have relevant and proven experience seeking an opportunity to develop their skills and join a growing Organisation.

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours each week with a starting time of 08:00 Monday to Friday, with a finish time of 16:45 Monday to Thursday, and on a Friday, a finish time of 12:30. You will be entitled to a 30-minute unpaid lunch break Monday to Thursday.

Role Accountabilities:

  • Act as the focal point for all RFQs and RFPs both internally and with customers
  • Conduct initial assessment of RFQs for feasibility and strategic alignment prior to entering the gated process
  • Own quote and proposal development from receipt through to submission
  • Ensure proposals fully meet customer technical, commercial and contractual requirements
  • Track proposal milestones, deadlines and deliverables to ensure on-time, high-quality submissions
  • Control quote templates, compliance matrices and standard content data sets
  • Manage bid prioritisation in line with customer needs and Accrofab strategy
  • Lead the NPI gated process including cross-functional Bid/No-bid reviews and quote approval reviews
  • Ensure that bids reflect production capacity, engineering resource and material lead times
  • Drive, document and track actions and decisions arising from NPI gated process reviews
  • Liaise with departments including Commercial, Engineering, Production, Supply Chain and Quality
  • Ensure internal stakeholder awareness, engagement and alignment
  • Produce quotes using our standard template based on inputs from across the business
  • Produce proposals that fully comply with customer requirements, including supporting documentation, plans and other business information
  • Communicate effectively with customers to clarify requirements and manage timeline expectations
  • Support Account Managers and the Business Development team in identifying new opportunities
  • Support Account Managers and the Business Development team in following up with customers to secure new business and track quote outcomes
  • Improve proposal processes, tools and governance to reduce proposal submission time and improve win rate
  • Support lessons learned and best-practice sharing across the Commercial and wider management team
  • Track and present relevant KPIs that drive actions to improve process and business performance
  • Comply with all company Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) requirements
  • Follow relevant business processes

Person Specification:

  • E – Experience in a customer facing commercial role
  • D – Engineering qualifications or relevant experience
  • E – Experience in an aerospace (or similar highly regulated industry) manufacturing environment
  • D – Experience in Build-to-Print manufacturing
  • D – Experience in sheet metal forming and fabrication
  • E – Experience in proposals, bid management or program coordination
  • D – Familiarity with costing models
  • E – Familiarity with margin analysis commercial risk assessment
