Shift Pattern: You will be required to work 36.5 hours each week, working 15:00 – 01:00 on Mondays and 15:00 – 00:30 on Tuesdays to Thursdays. You will be entitled to two breaks each day, one 10‑minute unpaid break and one 20‑minute unpaid break.
Opportunity Summary: We currently have a vacancy within our Manufacturing department for a CNC Milling Setter/Operator. We are looking for candidates who have relevant and proven experience, seeking an opportunity to join a growing organisation and develop their skills.
Role Accountabilities:
- Use and control of CNC programs in accordance with relevant procedures.
- Ability to read and understand CNC code to the level required for machine set up and operation.
- Understand all set up parameters and the effect that they have on the process, for example, datum setting and tool length and wear offsets.
- Set up machines with the required work holding and tooling in accordance with relevant procedures.
- Editing programmes.
- Complete machining operations efficiently in accordance with Job Card instructions to achieve the required output levels.
Person Specification:
- Previous experience of working to Aerospace standards.
- Experienced in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Alignment with our Bromford values: Respect, Integrity, Safety, and Excellence.
- Preferably 3 years' experience in a similar role.
- Ideally apprentice trained with relevant qualifications.
- Experience of setting and operating Heidenhain CNC milling machines within a high‑precision low‑volume environment.
