We have a vacancy within our Manufacturing Department and are currently recruiting for the role of CNC Milling Setter/ Operator. We are looking for candidates who have relevant and proven experience seeking an opportunity to develop their skills and join a growing Organisation.
Shift Pattern: 36.5 hours each week, working the Early Shift: 06.00 – 14.30 Monday to Thursday, and 06.00 – 10.30 on Fridays. Two breaks Monday to Thursday – one 10‑minute unpaid break and one 20‑minute unpaid break.
Role Accountabilities:
- Use and control of CNC programs in accordance with relevant procedures.
- Ability to read and understand CNC code to the level required for machine set up and operation.
- Understand all set up parameters and the effect that they have on the process, for example, datum setting and tool length and wear offsets.
- Set up machines with the required work holding and tooling in accordance with relevant procedures.
- Editing programmes.
- Complete machining operations efficiently in accordance with Job Card instructions to achieve the required output levels.
Person Specification:
- Previous experience of working to Aerospace standards.
- Experienced in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- An understanding and alignment to our Accrofab values; Respect, Integrity, Safety and Excellence.
- Preferably 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Ideally apprentice trained with relevant qualifications.
- Experience of setting and operating Heidenhain CNC milling machines within a high precision low volume environment.
