We have a vacancy within our Manufacturing Department and are currently recruiting for the role of CNC Milling Setter/ Operator. We are looking for candidates who have relevant and proven experience seeking an opportunity to develop their skills and join a growing Organisation.

Shift Pattern

You will be required to work 36.5 hours each week working the Early Shift; 06.00 – 14.30 Monday to Thursday, and 06.00 – 10.30 on Fridays. You will be entitled to two breaks Monday to Thursday, one 10-minute unpaid break and one 20-minute unpaid break.

Role Accountabilities

  • Use and control of CNC programs in accordance with relevant procedures.
  • Ability to read and understand CNC code to the level required for machine set up and operation.
  • Understand all set up parameters and the effect that they have on the process, for example, datum setting and tool length and wear offsets.
  • Set up machines with the required work holding and tooling in accordance with relevant procedures.
  • Editing programmes.
  • Complete machining operations efficiently in accordance with Job Card instructions to achieve the required output levels.

Person Specification

  • Previous experience of working to Aerospace standards.
  • Experienced in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • An understanding and alignment to our Accrofab values; Respect, Integrity, Safety and Excellence.
  • Preferably 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Ideally apprentice trained with relevant qualifications.
  • Experience of setting and operating Heidenhain CNC milling machines within a high precision low volume environment.
