We have a vacancy within our Manufacturing Department and are currently recruiting for the role of CNC Milling Operator. We are looking for candidates who have relevant and proven experience seeking an opportunity to develop their skills and join a growing Organisation.
Shift Pattern
You will be required to work 36.5 hours each week, working 06.00 – 14.30 Monday to Thursday, and 06.00 – 10.30 on Fridays. You will be entitled to two breaks Monday to Thursday, one 10-minute unpaid break and one 20-minute unpaid break.
Opportunity Summary
We currently have a vacancy within our Manufacturing department for a CNC Miller. We are looking for candidates who have relevant and proven experience, seeking an opportunity to join a growing Organisation and develop their skills.
Role Accountabilities
- Use and control of CNC programs in accordance with relevant procedures.
- Ability to read and understand CNC code to the level required for machine set up and operation.
- Understand all set up parameters and the effect that they have on the process, for example, datum setting and tool length and wear offsets.
- Set up machines with the required work holding and tooling in accordance with relevant procedures.
- Editing programmes.
- Complete machining operations efficiently in accordance with Job Card instructions to achieve the required output levels.
Person Specification
- Previous experience of working to Aerospace standards.
- Experienced in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- An understanding and alignment to our Bromford values; Respect, Integrity, Safety and Excellence.
- Preferably 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Ideally apprentice trained with relevant qualifications.
- Experience of setting and operating Heidenhain CNC milling machines within a high precision low volume environment.
