Contract: Term Time Only-39 weeks,37.5 hours per week

We are seeking to appoint an ambitious, resilient and highly motivated ARC 24 Manager to join our pastoral and behaviour team on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will play a key role in effectively managing our Accrington Reflect Centre (ARC), ensuring that students continue to receive high-quality educational provision alongside bespoke behavioural, pastoral, emotional and social support. Working closely with Heads of Year, the Assistant Principal for Behaviour, the Senior Behaviour Manager and wider pastoral colleagues, you will support students to reflect on their behaviour, remove barriers to learning and successfully re-engage with their education.

This is a rewarding opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting young people, has high expectations of behaviour and conduct, and believes that every student can achieve their full potential.

Main duties will include supervising ARC, managing student behaviour through calm, positive and consistent approaches, supporting students' educational progress and behavioural reflection, maintaining accurate records and registers, and working collaboratively with pastoral and SEND colleagues to improve outcomes for students.

The successful candidate will:

• Be able to build positive relationships with young people while maintaining clear boundaries and high expectations.
• Have strong behaviour management skills and the ability to support students in reflecting on and improving their behaviour.
• Demonstrate a good understanding of the pastoral, emotional and social needs of secondary-aged students.
• Be highly organised, with the ability to maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with staff, students and parents/carers.
• Be committed to safeguarding, inclusion and ensuring every student receives the support they need to succeed.
• Be a positive role model who consistently demonstrates and promotes our TEAMAA values.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and work collaboratively as part of a wider pastoral team.

• An individual with GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above.
• Someone with experience working within a school or educational setting and an understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.
• An individual with experience of supporting young people with behavioural, pastoral or additional learning needs.

• A highly motivated professional who demonstrates resilience, empathy and excellent interpersonal skills.
