We are seeking a passionate and highly skilled Teacher of English to join our vibrant and dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity not only to teach an engaging curriculum and inspire a love of learning, but also to take on a departmental leadership role as Teaching, Data & Outcomes Lead. This TLR position offers the chance to help shape teaching and learning across the department, lead on data‑driven improvement, and play a key role in raising standards and achievement for all students.

Responsibilities

Key TLR Duties

  • Drive data analysis and intervention planning, ensuring strategies are in place to improve outcomes.
  • Support colleagues through instructional coaching and professional development.
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and KS4 strategy, ensuring clarity of intent, implementation, and impact.
  • Work closely with the Curriculum Leader of English to monitor progress and implement improvement plans.
  • Contribute to Accrington Academy\'s Education with Character programme.
