The role of a Mid-Weight FF&E Interior Designer at AGC is to have responsibility for executing and delivering small - mid level project FF&E design deliverables to the highest standard. With several years' experience and a strong portfolio of work, a Mid-Weight FF&E Interior Designer can execute all phases of development including Client Liaising, Pre-Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Procurement, Installation and Aftercare, ensuring a project is delivered on time, in budget and to the company's exacting standards.
You will be part of the Design team working closely with all brands and departments in the business and in turn you will:
- Lead, Project manage and execute installations for small - mid level projects on time, in budget and in accordance with client brief, supporting Senior team members on signature projects
- Produce graphic presentations, FF&E boards/layout plans, and proposals for AGC
- Produce cost specifications / FF&E schedules, outlining all costs to gain Director approval.
- Procure all FF&E through our CRM, Business Central (training and support provided)
- Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and organisational skills when managing budgets ensuring all costs are approved and in budget
- Producing and/or coordinating mid-level joinery designs with relevant specification schedules for quotation requests, seeking 'sign off' from Senior management
- Negotiate, co-ordinate and liaise with suppliers.
- Ensure that all specifications and deliveries are being met on time, on budget and to the best possible quality to meet company standards
- Ensure quality control at every stage of the design and production process with an exceptional degree of accuracy and attention to design detail, seeking sign off from your Line Manager
- In the final stages of the project ensure that all FF&E, accessories and styling requirements are met by following AGC's after care processes, (producing sign off documents and O&M manuals where required)
- Provide a complete project reconciliation in accordance with company policies.
- Seek final 'sign off' on a project from Senior Management
- Assist Senior team members where required
- Adherence and compliance with company handbook and policies following Best in Class standards
- Actively pursue and engage with new suppliers following AGC onboarding process
- Attend client meetings, presentation and pitches with the Sales Team and Senior Designers and present where appropriate, playing a supportive role at pitches.
- Producing client meeting minutes and client briefing documents to an exacting standard
- Actively seek opportunities for business generation for AGC
- Demonstrate the ability to produce project programmes and timelines, issuing to clients where appropriate after sign off from a Senior member
- Liaise with Sales Team to coordinate and prioritise active projects
Additional Responsibilities but not limited to:
- Attend weekly brand meetings
- Competitor activity and new trend assessment
- Ensure that FF&E library/sample area is maintained
- Ensure that all AGC Design documents are up to date and in their correct template folders
- Support Design Team on day to day basis
- Support Senior team members with organising various training workshops and development across the team
Skills and Requirements:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, suppliers and internal teams
- Demonstrated interest and commitment to interior design, supported by a strong FF&E-focused portfolio
- Proactive and organised approach to managing multiple workstreams and priorities
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative design team
- Strong attention to detail, particularly in specifications, budgets and project documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and AutoCAD (or equivalent design software)
- 5 years' professional experience in an interior design role, with a strong portfolio demonstrating mid-weight FF&E project delivery across multiple project stages
- Familiarity with Business Central is advantageous but not essential - training and support will be provided
