We are seeking an AAT‑qualified Accounts Assistant to join our team on a permanent basis. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with clients, develop your technical skills, and contribute to a high‑quality, personalised service.
Key ResponsibilitiesYou will play an important role in supporting our clients and internal team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Payroll processing
- Bookkeeping to trial balance for sole traders, limited companies, and property clients
- Preparing VAT returns
- Making Tax Digital submissions
- Assisting clients with day‑to‑day queries
We are looking for someone who brings:
- Experience using QuickBooks, VT Software, and TaxCalc (practice management)
- Strong working knowledge of payroll, VAT, income tax, and corporation tax
- At least 3 years’ experience working within an accountancy practice
Success in this role requires:
- Strong attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy
- The ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
- A proactive, self‑motivated approach
- Excellent communication skills and a genuine commitment to client care
