Summary
We are seeking an AAT-qualified Assistant Accountant to join our team on a permanent basis. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with clients, develop your technical skills, and contribute to a high-quality, personalised service. The rate of pay will depend on your skills and experience.
Key Responsibilities
You will play an important role in supporting our clients and internal team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Payroll processing
- Bookkeeping to trial balance for sole traders, limited companies, and property clients
- Preparing VAT returns
- Dividend reviews
- Making Tax Digital submissions
- Assisting clients with day-to-day queries
Technical Skills & Experience
We are looking for someone who brings:
- AAT Qualification Level 3 (or equivalent experience)
- At least 3 years working within an accountancy practice
- Strong working knowledge of a variety of taxes (payroll, vat, income tax and corporation tax)
- Experience using QuickBooks, VT Software, and TaxCalc (practice management)
