Accountancy Recruit is partnering a small, owner managed business in Stalybridge to appoint a Company Accountant on a permanent, part time basis for approximately 23 hours per week. The pro rated salary will be approximately £24-28K for 23 hours per week. This role would suit an Accounts Manager, Finance Manager, or Senior Management Accountant. The Accounts function is well organised and automated, and the company culture is relaxed and inclusive.
The Company Accountant will have the following responsibilities:
- Manage an Accounts Assistant overseeing Sales & Purchase ledgers.
- Manage the bank account daily, including the cash book analysis.
- Prepare monthly management accounts with variance analysis.
- Prepare annual budget/forecast.
- Prepare quarterly VAT returns.
- Arrange foreign payments and the treatment of import VAT.
- Cashflow forecasting.
To be successful in this role, the Company Accountant will have the following experience:
- Experience in a similar role.
- Excellent systems experience including ERP systems and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage people.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
