Our client, an established, forward thinking firm of Chartered Accountants, based in Winchester are seeking a Tax Senior/Assistant Manager to join their expanding team. You will be responsible for a portfolio of personal tax clients, dealing with compliance matters as well as exposure to advisory including IHT, CGT and trusts and providing advice. Duties include:- Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients and ensuring compliance with HM Revenue & Customs and in-house deadlines Preparing and processing self-assessment tax returns for individuals, partnerships and trusts Calculation and advice of liabilities, together with due dates of payment to client Assisting with client queries and providing ad hoc advice where requested with the support of senior members of staff Billing personal portfolio clients after work completed Dealing with correspondence, telephone calls and arranging and attending meetings with clients and potential clients Assisting partners and senior staff members with technical queries Providing assistance to junior members of the team where appropriate Dealing with HMRC correspondence, telephone calls and enquiries Supporting other Departments when required You will ideally have at least 3-4 years personal tax experience and ideally hold a relevant qualification such as ATT and/or CTA, although QBE will be considered.
