Our client, an growing firm of Chartered Accountants are seeking a Personal Tax Semi-Senior/Senior to join their team in Southampton. This is a personal tax position, dealing with compliance matters and providing advice to a mixed portfolio of clients with private and business interests. Dealing with a portfolio of Private Client tax clients and ensuring compliance with HMRC and in-house deadlines Preparing and processing tax returns and P11Ds from information provided Calculation and advice of liabilities, together with due dates of payment to client Assisting with client queries and providing ad hoc advice where requested Dealing with correspondence, telephone calls and arranging and attending meetings with clients and potential clients Assisting partners and staff members with technical queries and providing assistance to junior members of the team where appropriate Assisting in the preparation of technical reports in relation to income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax Dealing with HMRC correspondence, telephone calls and enquiries General support to the tax team as required You will ideally have at least 18 months to 2 years UK personal tax experience within practice and study support will be offered for professional qualifications such as ATT and/or CTA.
