Our client, an established, forward thinking firm of Chartered Accountants are seeking an Accountant to join their expanding accounts team in their Fareham office. This role will involve dealing with a mixed portfolio of clients to include preparing the accounts for Limited Companies, LLPs, Sole Traders and Partnerships, Corporation tax returns and preparing and filing personal tax returns under the supervision of the Portfolio Managers.
Key duties:
- Preparation of year end accounts calculating business and personal tax, using the CCH software suite
- Preparation and commentary of Management Accounts
- Use of automated software packages such as Xero, Dext, Sage & QuickBooks to process client data and prepare and submit VAT & CIS Returns
- Work on file review points and prepare accounts packs and letters for submission to the client
- Dealing with, and advising on personal tax issues under the supervision of the qualified Accountants ensuring compliance with tax legislation and filing personal tax returns
- Assist in ad-hoc accountancy duties throughout the year including P11D submissions, ATED etc.
- Assist the Portfolio Managers with the delivery of work flows to meet deadlines & budgets
- Gain a good understanding of all areas of the practice and familiarisation of the processes undertaken by each area including Company Secretarial
- Mentoring and coaching
