We're looking for a Payroll Support Services Team Leader to join a dynamic and evolving business, playing a pivotal role in transforming how payroll and finance data is managed across the organisation. What you'll be doing:
- Leading, mentoring and developing a team of 5 within Payroll Support Services
- Conducting a full operational review of workflows, identifying inefficiencies and implementing improvements
- Managing data integrity across Finance and Payroll systems, ensuring a "single source of truth"
- Overseeing timesheet, self‑bill and non‑labour sales processes within strict deadlines
- Designing and documenting processes using tools such as Scribe and Vidcast
- Driving process standardisation, compliance and scalability
- Partnering with internal stakeholders to support business performance and decision‑making
What success looks like:
- Streamlined processes and improved team productivity within the first 90 days
- Reduced data errors and faster reconciliation across systems
- 100% adherence to SLAs and critical payroll/timesheet deadlines
- A more efficient, scalable team structure aligned to business demand
What we're looking for:
- Strong experience within Payroll, Finance Operations or Shared Services
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage performance
- Advanced Excel skills (data analysis, reconciliations, pivot tables)
- Experience working with Finance and Payroll systems
- A highly organisational, analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
- A proactive approach with the confidence to challenge, improve and implement change
Desirable:
