A well-established accountancy firm are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Semi-Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This is a hands-on role, perfect for someone looking to develop their accounting career while gaining experience across multiple areas of finance.
What You’ll Do
- This position is primarily focused on accounts preparation across a range of industries and business types.
- The work is technical, structured, and varied.
- There is no audit work and very little bookkeeping, allowing the candidate to concentrate on developing strong core accountancy skills right through to client engagement.
- Maintain day-to-day accounting records.
- Prepare accruals, prepayments, deferred income, and assist with month-end/year-end close.
- Help with VAT returns and compliance tasks.
- Work closely with other teams to resolve accounting queries and support decision-making.
About You
- Part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent.
- Experience in a finance or accounting role, ideally with exposure to practice.
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident with Excel and accounting systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
- Proactive problem-solver with a collaborative approach.
