Our client, an Education focused business based in Reading, are looking to recruit a Payroll Administrator for a 2 – 3 month period. They are looking for someone to start ASAP. The role is 5 days a week in office.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
- Input pension amendments.
- Calculate statutory payments such as SSP, SPP and SMP.
- Processing of P11D returns.
- Monthly payroll journal uploads, accurate and timely.
- Reconcile hours worked per time records against contracted hours.
- Answer staff questions about salary, deductions, attendance, time records, as well as dealing with pension queries.
- Liaison with various external agencies such as HMRC and pension provider.
What the client is looking for:
- Previous experience within a Payroll position.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of numerical accuracy.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively to strict deadlines.
