Job Description
Our client, a charity based in Canary Wharf, is looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant on a part-time permanent basis. The role will be 4 days a week β 2 days in office and 2 days working from home.
You will ensure financial transactions are processed in a timely, compliant, and auditable way, contributing to strong financial control and oversight.
Responsibilities of the post holder:
- Processing accounts payable and receivable invoices
- Managing supplier invoices, staff expenses, and payment requests
- Monitoring outstanding balances and supporting credit control activity
- Bank reconciliations
- Supplier reconciliations
- Identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly
- Supporting month-end processes including journals and reconciliations
- Maintaining accurate records with a clear audit trail
- Communicating effectively with internal teams and suppliers
What the client is looking for:
- A minimum of 2 years accounts experience
- Knowledge of accounts payable, receivable, and reconciliations
- Experience using Xero and excellent Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Confident communication and stakeholder engagement skills
