We are partnering with a growing and dynamic organisation to recruit a Financial Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to take ownership of financial reporting, statutory compliance, and controls within a fast-paced environment. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of financial information while supporting the wider business through accurate reporting and insightful analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Lead the month-end and year-end close processes
  • Prepare statutory accounts preparation and external audits
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain and improve financial controls and processes
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and oversee ledger integrity
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Manage VAT, tax, and other statutory reporting requirements
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to provide financial insight and support decision-making
  • Contribute to process improvement and finance transformation initiatives

About You

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including UK GAAP and/or IFRS
  • Experience in financial reporting, statutory accounts, and audit
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
  • Ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Proactive, commercially minded, and solutions-focused
