We are currently recruiting for an experienced Bookkeeper to join a friendly and well-established school on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys working in a supportive educational environment and can hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing purchase and sales ledger invoices
- Bank reconciliations and cash management
- Managing supplier payments and queries
- Assisting with month-end finance processes
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Processing journals and supporting ledger reconciliations
- Supporting budget monitoring and reporting
- General finance administration as required
About You
- Previous bookkeeping experience is essential
- Experience working within a school, academy, college, or educational setting is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of accounting systems and Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Able to work independently and manage workloads effectively
- Available to start at short notice
- Must hold a current Enhanced DBS certificate or be willing to undergo a DBS check prior to commencement
