An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Employment Solicitor with 2–4 years' PQE to join a well-established Employment team. This role offers exposure to a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, alongside corporate support and transactional work.

The successful candidate will be confident advising employer clients across a wide spectrum of employment law issues and will have experience gained within a reputable commercial, City, or specialist employment practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advising employers on a full range of UK employment law matters, including:
    • Employee relations
    • Performance management
    • Disciplinary and grievance procedures
    • Discrimination and whistleblowing issues
    • Redundancies and restructures
    • Senior exits and settlement agreements
    • Day-to-day HR matters
  • Providing employment law support on corporate and property transactions, including:
    • Legal due diligence
    • Drafting due diligence reports
    • Employment warranties and indemnities
    • TUPE advice
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating employment-related documentation, including:
    • Employment contracts
    • Senior executive service agreements
    • Workplace policies
    • Settlement agreements
  • Managing Employment Tribunal claims from inception through to final hearing, including:
    • Drafting pleadings and witness statements
    • Disclosure exercises
    • Preliminary hearings
    • Judicial mediations
  • Advising senior executives on complex workplace disputes, exits and settlement negotiations.
Skills & Experience
  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 2–4 years' PQE in Employment Law.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK employment law.
  • Experience advising employers and business owners.
  • Exposure to transactional employment support work.
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Strong client-facing and commercial advisory skills.
  • Experience conducting advocacy at preliminary hearing level.
Desirable
  • Experience advising senior executives.
  • Experience with restrictive covenant disputes.
  • Experience handling County Court discrimination claims.
