We are recruiting on behalf of a client for an experienced and highly organised Operations Coordinator to join a growing healthcare organisation based in Borehamwood. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in a GP practice environment who enjoys leading teams, improving processes and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of operations. Working closely with senior management, you'll play a key role in supporting a team of healthcare operators, maintaining high service standards for GP practices and patients, and driving operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the day-to-day running of the healthcare operations team.
- Manage staffing levels, rotas, annual leave, sickness and operational cover.
- Support recruitment, onboarding and induction of new employees.
- Provide ongoing support, coaching and guidance to team members.
- Monitor performance, attendance and call quality, identifying training and development needs.
- Maintain training documentation, standard operating procedures and operational processes.
- Investigate operational issues and feedback, working with management to implement solutions.
- Provide support with EMIS and other healthcare systems.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with GP practices, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and service delivery.
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- Previous experience managing or supervising a team.
- Experience working within a GP practice or primary care environment.
- Working knowledge of EMIS.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to remain calm and organised in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail.
Desirable Skills
- Experience creating staff rotas and managing workforce planning.
- Good understanding of GP practice workflows and operations.
