We have partnered with a rapidly growing international fashion wholesale and e-commerce brand that is looking for a commercially minded Management Accountant to join its expanding finance team. Working closely with the Finance Director, you will take ownership of the monthly management accounts while providing meaningful financial analysis and insight to support decision-making across the business. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified or part-qualified CIMA/ACCA accountant who wants broad exposure in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment. The business operates across multiple brands and international markets, making this a varied role with strong involvement in reporting, budgeting, and process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Own the monthly management accounts process including prepayments, fixed assets and stock adjustments
- Review P&L and Balance Sheet, completing reconciliations and variance analysis vs budget
- Reconcile and review sales and COGS data, ensuring accuracy between Shopify and the accounting system
- Produce monthly flash reporting, KPIs and performance commentary for senior leadership
- Manage intercompany transactions and recharges across the group
- Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process
- Prepare VAT returns for review and manage cash receipt postings
- Process a small volume of purchase invoices and supplier payments
- Contribute to process improvements and financial reporting development, particularly for new brands
- Assist with the annual statutory audit
Qualifications
- Newly qualified or part-qualified CIMA / ACCA
- 3+ years’ experience preparing full management accounts
- Strong Excel skills with confidence analysing large data sets
- Experience with FX transactions
- Background in a SME or growing business environment, ideally within a group structure
- Experience within e-commerce or retail preferred
- Stock accounting exposure beneficial
- Experience with Sage advantageous
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicator who can work closely with senior stakeholders
