An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Employment Solicitor with 2–4 years' PQE to join a well-established Employment team. This role offers exposure to a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, alongside corporate support and transactional work.
The successful candidate will be confident advising employer clients across a wide spectrum of employment law issues and will have experience gained within a reputable commercial, City, or specialist employment practice.
Key Responsibilities- Advising employers on a full range of UK employment law matters, including:
- Employee relations
- Performance management
- Disciplinary and grievance procedures
- Discrimination and whistleblowing issues
- Redundancies and restructures
- Senior exits and settlement agreements
- Day-to-day HR matters
- Providing employment law support on corporate and property transactions, including:
- Legal due diligence
- Drafting due diligence reports
- Employment warranties and indemnities
- TUPE advice
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating employment-related documentation, including:
- Employment contracts
- Senior executive service agreements
- Workplace policies
- Settlement agreements
- Managing Employment Tribunal claims from inception through to final hearing, including:
- Drafting pleadings and witness statements
- Disclosure exercises
- Preliminary hearings
- Judicial mediations
- Advising senior executives on complex workplace disputes, exits and settlement negotiations.
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 2–4 years' PQE in Employment Law.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK employment law.
- Experience advising employers and business owners.
- Exposure to transactional employment support work.
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and meet deadlines effectively.
- Strong client-facing and commercial advisory skills.
- Experience conducting advocacy at preliminary hearing level.
- Experience advising senior executives.
- Experience with restrictive covenant disputes.
- Experience handling County Court discrimination claims.
- Strong technical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Highly organised with effective prioritisation abilities.
- Able to work under pressure and manage competing demands.
