An established London-based technology and manufacturing business is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join its finance team on a full or part-time basis. The company operates within a specialist technology sector, providing products and solutions to a range of commercial and industrial customers. With an established UK operation and a close-knit team, this is an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Assistant looking for a flexible position within a well-established business.
The role offers a hybrid working arrangement and will be worked across 4 or 5 days per week.
The Role
Working as part of the finance team, the Accounts Assistant will support the day-to-day accounting operations of the business, with responsibility across purchase and sales ledger processes, payments, invoicing, and bank reconciliations. This would suit an organised and accurate finance professional with previous transactional accounting experience who is comfortable working independently and supporting the wider team with ad hoc finance administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing purchase invoices
- Preparing supplier payments
- Managing the sales invoicing process
- Reconciling bank accounts
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Providing wider finance and administrative support as required
About You
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar transactional finance role
- Experience across purchase and/or sales ledger
- Ideally, experience using Sage 50 or similar accounting software
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage deadlines
- A proactive and reliable approach to work
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a small team
