We are partnering with a growing and dynamic organisation to recruit a Financial Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to take ownership of financial reporting, statutory compliance, and controls within a fast-paced environment.
Reporting to the Finance Director, you will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of financial information while supporting the wider business through accurate reporting and insightful analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare statutory accounts preparation and external audit
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Maintain and improve financial controls and processes
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and oversee ledger integrity
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities
- Manage VAT, tax, and other statutory reporting requirements
- Partner with stakeholders across the business to provide financial insight and support decision-making
- Contribute to process improvement and finance transformation
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including UK GAAP and/or IFRS
- Experience in financial reporting, statutory accounts, and audit
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
- Ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Proactive, commercially minded, and solutions-focused
