We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Financial Accountant to join a growing international tech recruitment business based in the City. The Role
The Assistant Financial Accountant will support key financial accounting and compliance processes across the business, working closely with senior finance stakeholders in a multi-entity, international environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and manage financial accounting processes including VAT, PAYE, PSA, intercompany accounting, transfer pricing, and group reporting
- Assist with month-end close activities and reconciliations
- Support weekly bank reconciliations and month-end bank revaluations
- Maintain and update exchange rates across finance systems
- Assist with statutory and compliance-related finance tasks
- Produce regular and ad hoc financial reports
- Provide general finance administration support to the wider finance team
About You
- Previous experience in a Finance Assistant / Assistant Accountant / Financial Accounting role (minimum 18 months preferred)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and month-end processes
- Confident working with balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical skills
- Proactive, organised, and able to work independently
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working in a busy and fast-moving environment
Skills & Qualifications
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related subject
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Understanding of statutory finance processes and compliance requirements
- Studying towards AAT, ACCA, or CIMA
