Senior Accountant/Financial Controller Our client, an SME based near Hertford, is looking for a Senior Accountant to step in and assist the Finance Director in running the finance team. The role has 2 direct reports and you will be responsible for supporting the financial management, reporting and commercial decision-making of the business. Key responsibilities of the role will include: • Ownership of management accounts, budgeting and forecasting processes • Production of accurate, timely financial reporting to support commercial decision-making • Building financial models and analysis in Excel • Identifying financial and operational risks within the business • Assisting with strategic and commercial projects • Liaising with budget holders and non-finance stakeholders across the business • Continually reviewing and improving financial processes and controls The ideal candidate will be qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA and have experience of reporting into a 1st in finance and assisting to manage the finance function. You will have a career history that demonstrates clear ownership, measurable achievement and progression in relevant finance roles.
