We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Finance Assistant for an initial 2 month period. Successful applicants will have previous Finance/Accounts Assistant experience and will ideally be available to start immediately. Previous Hotel or Hospitality experience is essential. The role is based in Central London, working for a luxury Hotel business.
The role will include:
- Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Process supplier invoices, ensuring correct coding and approvals
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with payment runs and maintain AP ageing
- Support invoicing and collections where required
- Revenue & Income Audit Support
- Assist with daily revenue checks
- Reconcile POS systems to PMS (e.g. Mews) and accounting system
- Investigate and resolve variances
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Assist with reconciliation of key balance sheet accounts
- Support month-end close process
- Financial Reporting
- Support preparation of monthly management accounts
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Control & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and procedures
- Support audit requests (internal/external)
- Maintain organised and audit-ready documentation
The working hours are very flexible and there is 1 day working from home per week. Whilst this is initially a temporary opportunity for 2 months, there is a possibility that the position could be made permanent.
