A global engineering organisation is seeking an experienced Interim Project Accountant to support one of its divisions on a large-scale reconciliation and overhead allocation project. This assignment is initially for 6 months, with the potential for extension.
The Role
You will join the finance team in Warrington, working on a detailed reconciliation exercise reviewing charges billed under a major framework contract versus actual costs. The aim is to identify variances, confirm whether balances are owed or recoverable, and produce robust supporting analysis. Alongside the core reconciliation work, you will also contribute to:
- Overhead allocation analysis for customer reporting
- Documentation of historic processes and development of future-state processes
- Commercial and bid-support analysis as required
- Input into audit-aligned financial reporting activity
This role will suit a career interim who is comfortable parachuting into complex environments, managing ambiguity, and producing clear, defensible outputs at pace.
