A fast-growing accountancy and advisory firm with offices in Manchester are looking to appoint an experienced Tax Manager to further develop and support their growing team, paying £57,000 - £67,000 DOE. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious tax professional looking to step into a varied, advisory-led role with exposure to a broad client portfolio, while working within a collaborative and progressive environment.
You will work closely with senior leadership, supporting entrepreneurial and owner-managed businesses across a range of tax matters.
- Managing a varied portfolio of larger and more complex tax clients, delivering high-quality compliance and advisory support.
- Providing tax planning advice to business owners across areas such as acquisitions and disposals, business restructuring, remuneration planning, inheritance tax and estate planning.
- Supporting clients with corporation tax, personal tax, capital gains tax and wider tax matters.
- Handling HMRC enquiries and investigations, including technical research, financial analysis and report writing.
- Supporting, mentoring and developing junior members of the tax team.
- Building strong client relationships and identifying opportunities to add value through proactive advice.
Requirements:
- CTA / ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
- Strong experience gained within an accountancy practice tax environment.
- Solid experience advising owner-managed businesses (OMBs) on a range of tax matters.
- Comfortable working across both compliance and advisory projects.
- Strong communicator who enjoys building relationships with clients and colleagues.
