Our client, a well-established organisation based in Leeds, is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant with systems exposure to join their team on a 6-month fixed term contract. This role will initially be predominantly office-based, with the potential for it to then offer flexible working 4 days in the office.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically skilled financial professional to play a key role in supporting system migrations and financial processes across multiple legal entities., * General Ledger (GL) TB Mapping and configuration between existing systems, such as Sage 200 and Workday.

Structuring and tagging Fixed Asset Registers across multiple companies, reconciling thousands of assets and asset classes for upload to Workday.

Structuring and configuring Accruals and Prepayments Schedules to be uploaded and tagged within Workday.

Developing an understanding of the Workday system and supporting teams with training, guidance, and troubleshooting.

Performing Financial Reconciliations, including debtors, creditors, transactions, and ledger alignment.

Conducting Data Verification to meet business and financial reporting requirements.

Supporting processes across multiple legal entities, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

Providing expertise in P&L, Balance Sheets, and Trial Balances.

Supporting GL Mapping across multiple entities during ERP migration/implementation.

Undertaking intermediate-level Excel data analysis and manipulation to support reporting and reconciliations.
To succeed in this role, you will need:

Proven experience in a Financial Accountant role, ideally involving system migrations or ERP implementations.

Strong knowledge of General Ledger processes, Trial Balances, P&L, and Balance Sheets.

Experience working across multiple legal entities.

High proficiency in Excel, with strong data analysis and manipulation skills.

Ability to reconcile complex data sets and manage Fixed Asset Registers.

A proactive and collaborative approach, with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Prior experience with Workday or similar ERP systems (desirable but not essential).
