My client is seeking a talented Regional Head of Finance to join their rapidly growing business. Recently acquired and integrated, they are now part of a large national group entering a significant period of expansion, with plans to double in size over the next 2 years.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional who enjoys leading teams, improving processes, and partnering closely with both local operational leadership and a central group finance function.
Key Responsibilities- The Regional Head of Finance will act as the key link between the local sites and the central group finance team, ensuring strong financial governance, timely reporting, and processes that can support continued rapid growth.
- Lead the day-to-day activities of a finance team, covering sales ledger, purchase ledger, credit control, payroll, and management accounts - taking a hands-on approach where needed.
- Develop and mentor the team.
- Strengthen financial controls and reporting processes.
- Produce month-end accounts to tight deadlines, delivering accurate reporting to both local management and the central finance function.
- Support regular and ad-hoc reporting requirements for group finance and the private equity stakeholders.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow planning.
- Manage the finance system migration to the group's new accounting software.
- Work collaboratively with operational leaders to ensure finance supports business performance and growth.
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong experience in multi-site environments.
- Proven track record of managing and developing finance teams.
- Confident working in a fast-paced, evolving business undergoing significant change.
- Comfortable working to tight deadlines and supporting both operational and central finance stakeholders.
- Highly IT literate with advanced Excel skills. Experience with Sage 50 and Power BI is an advantage.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, with the confidence to drive strong financial control.
- A collaborative team player with the ability to be hands-on when required.
- Competitive salary: £55,000 - £65,000 FTE.
