Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a growing North Wales based specialist services provider as they look to recruit a Payroll Manager into this newly created role. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced and well-rounded Payroll Manager seeking an opportunity within a diverse and fast-paced organisation.
Salary: £45-48,000pa
Job Duties:
- Payroll Processing
- Overseeing the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees
- Reviewing the posting of monthly payroll journals and control account reconciliations
- Payment of PAYE
- Supporting with and reporting on the administration of pension contributions, auto-enrolment and communications
- Overseeing holiday, absence and sick pay and statutory sick pay calculations and deductions
- Ensure the team are supported with all Tax Year-End procedures are run including P60's
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, including tax withholding and reporting
- Lead and manage the payroll department staff, providing training, guidance, and support
- Tax Filing and Reporting
- Payroll Audits
- Prepare and generate payroll reports for management, finance, and accounting departments
- Contribute towards the strategic direction of the organisation through regular engagement with senior stakeholders
- Continuously assess payroll processes and recommend improvements for efficiency, accuracy, and compliance
Ideal experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Previous experience within a supervisory payroll position
- Certifications: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar certification preferred
- Strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations, tax filings, and employee benefits
- Familiarity with payroll software and Microsoft Excel
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with employees and management professionally
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve payroll issues and discrepancies
- Ability to manage and mentor a team effectively
