Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be working with a leading manufacturing company based in Winsford to recruit a Management Accountant. Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be responsible for the preparation of the monthly management accounts, forecasting and financial analysis. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant seeking a varied and hands-on position with significant exposure across the business. The successful candidate will partner with key stakeholders, supporting the organisation's financial operations and decision-making.
Responsibilities Include:
- Preparation of management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and rolling forecasts.
- Supporting the production of the monthly board report.
- Reviewing and analysing costs across all areas of the business.
- Managing product costing activities.
- Analysing stock levels and investigating product costing variances.
- Developing strategic plans, budgets, and financial forecasts.
- Assisting with daily cash reporting, including bank reconciliations.
- Preparing quarterly VAT returns for review.
- Posting journals, including accruals and prepayments.
- Raising sales invoices across multiple revenue streams and ensuring reconciliations are accurate and up to date.
- Supporting the annual audit process and resolving any queries.
- Setting up payments, including accounts payable and weekly payroll, for authorisation.
- Identifying opportunities to improve existing processes and drive efficiency.
- Conducting credit checks on prospective customers to minimise risk.
- Leading and contributing to ad hoc projects as required.
Skills Required:
