Accounts Assistant (acr2343) Manchester, England
Salary: GBP28000 - GBP32000 per annum
We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious Junior Accounts Assistant to join a thriving retail business based in the heart of vibrant Manchester.
This role is perfect for someone with 6-12 months' experience in Accounts Payable who is eager to broaden their finance knowledge, develop their accounting skills and progress into a well-rounded Accounts Assistant role.

The Role
Working as part of a friendly and supportive finance team, you'll initially build on your Accounts Payable experience before gradually gaining exposure to wider accounting responsibilities.
- Processing supplier invoices and managing purchase ledger transactions.
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving invoice queries.
- Assisting with payment runs and bank reconciliations.
- Supporting the preparation of month-end accounts.
- Helping with expenses, journals and general ledger tasks.
- Working closely with the wider finance team to develop your accounting knowledge.
- Taking on additional responsibilities as your confidence and experience grow.
About You
- Around 6-12 months' experience working in Accounts Payable or a similar junior finance role.
- A genuine interest in developing a long-term career in accountancy.
- Started studying AAT or is keen to begin their studies.
- Good Excel skills and excellent attention to detail.
- A positive, proactive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
