Accountable Recruitment is proud to be partnered with a dynamic and fast-growing business in their search for an ambitious Management Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity for a CIMA/ACCA or ACA qualified accountant looking to gain broad exposure and contribute towards key business decisions and performance.

Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end Management Accounting: Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts across multiple business units, including granular variance analysis, insightful commentary, and actionable performance insights.
  • Audit & Year-End Reporting: Support statutory year-end processes and external audit coordination across the group entities.
  • Financial Modelling: Collaborate on the development and submission of advanced financial models to banking partners and investors.
  • Ledger Oversight: Manage sales and purchase ledger transactions to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • VAT & Compliance: Prepare and submit VAT returns, liaising with HMRC to resolve any technical queries.
  • Cashflow & Treasury: Perform daily bank reconciliations, short- and long-term cashflow forecasting, and treasury support.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the annual budgeting cycle, contribute to rolling forecasts, and refine P&L planning models.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including suppliers, customers, and financial institutions.

Profile:

  • CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified (ideal opportunity for a newly qualified accountant looking to move into industry).
  • Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
  • Proven experience working in an SME or multi-entity environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, financial modelling).
  • Experience using Sage Line 50 (or similar ERP system).
  • Proactive communicator comfortable interacting at all levels.
  • Problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindset.
