We're currently working with a high-growth construction business where finance is at the heart of decision-making and they are looking for a Qualified Management Accoutnant to join the team in a newly created position.
The business is looking for a hands-on, proactive accountant who can deliver accurate reporting, partner with commercial teams, and help shape processes as the business scales. With exciting projects in the pipeline, this role offers real scope for influence and progression.
What You'll Be Doing
- Produce accurate monthly management accounts, ensuring timely reporting to the Financial Controller.
- Partner with the commercial team to analyse project performance, margins, and costs.
- Lead and develop a direct report while supporting the wider finance function.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, and oversee month-end close.
- Support budgeting and forecasting for multiple projects and entities.
- Ensure VAT, CIS, and tax compliance, working closely with external advisors.
- Drive process improvements and systems enhancements, maximising Microsoft Business Central's capabilities.
What We're Looking For
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or finalist with strong experience).
- Proven management accounting experience, ideally within construction or project-based industries.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Business Central.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence non-finance colleagues.
- Commercially minded, analytical, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
