Accountable Recruitment are partnering with a leading international business to recruit a Financial Accountant for their UK finance team based in Warrington. Following significant expansion and continued investment, the business has established itself as a market leader within its sector. This position is ideally suited to a qualified ACA or ACCA professional from a Top 10 accountancy firm who is keen to gain broad exposure within a large corporate environment. Working as part of an established financial reporting team, you'll play a key role in statutory reporting, audit coordination, compliance activities and wider finance projects, while building strong relationships with stakeholders across the UK business.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Producing and reviewing monthly financial reporting information
- Supporting the delivery of group and statutory audits across multiple entities
- Preparing audit schedules and responding to auditor requests
- Assisting with external reporting requirements and financial compliance processes
- Supporting the preparation and submission of VAT and CIS returns
- Providing assistance on technical accounting matters where required
- Contributing to wider finance initiatives, business projects and tender support activities
- Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure reporting deadlines are met
To be considered, you'll ideally have:
- ACA or ACCA qualification gained within a Top 10 UK accountancy practice
- Exposure to external audit engagements
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Advanced Excel capability and strong general systems knowledge
- The ability to build relationships across finance and non-finance teams
