This 12-month fixed-term role provides the opportunity to support the delivery of accurate and timely financial information. The Assistant Accountant will play a key part in weekly and monthly reporting cycles, maintaining financial controls, supporting forecasting activity, payroll, and ad-hoc analysis to enable effective business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Produce weekly financial data and performance reports
- Prepare month-end accounts including P&L, balance sheet reconciliations, VAT returns, and intercompany reporting
- Support maintenance of the rolling financial forecast
- Provide financial analysis and reporting for commercial and finance stakeholders
- Assist with data volume reporting and ad-hoc analytical tasks
- Contribute to monthly payroll processing
- Maintain strong financial controls and ensure accuracy of financial information
- Support process and system improvements across finance
- Undertake additional duties as required to support the wider team
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills
- Team-focused, proactive, and able to implement improvements
