Typical funding sizes range from £100,000 to £1 million, supporting a broad range of established SMEs with tailored debt solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Originating new lending opportunities through your professional network and external relationships.
  • Meeting business owners, advisors and introducers across the North West.
  • Assessing funding applications and identifying the most appropriate funding solution.
  • Analysing statutory accounts, management accounts, cashflows and financial forecasts.
  • Structuring lending proposals and preparing detailed credit papers.
  • Presenting investment recommendations to internal credit and investment committees.
  • Managing transactions through negotiation, legal completion and drawdown.
  • Working closely with portfolio colleagues to ensure a smooth handover following completion.
  • Building long-term relationships with accountants, banks, corporate finance advisers and other professional introducers.

Investment Manager Attributes

You'll already have experience assessing and structuring business lending and be comfortable making commercial lending decisions. You'll likely come from:

  • Commercial Banking
  • Corporate Banking
  • SME Lending

  • Corporate Finance

You'll ideally have experience of:

  • Business lending or debt transactions.
  • Credit analysis and financial appraisal.
  • Writing lending recommendations and presenting credit papers.
  • Assessing statutory and management accounts.
  • Structuring lending facilities.
  • Managing multiple live transactions simultaneously.
  • Building strong relationships with intermediaries and business owners.

Investment Manager Benefits

  • Hybrid, autonomous working.
  • A genuinely varied role with significant client interaction.
  • Opportunity to work across the North West business community.
  • High-quality deal flow with funding values between £100k and £1m.
  • Join a respected investment team making a real difference to growing businesses.
