Job Description

Finance Manager Liverpool (hyrbid)£50,000 – £65,000The Role

As Finance & Reporting Manager, you'll be at the centre of the organisation's financial operations. You'll oversee a small team and workk closely with senior leaders to provide timely, accurate, and insightful financial reporting.

You'll play a key role in system improvements, cash flow forecasting, and business-critical analysis, ensuring finance is a true partner to the wider organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project management and data quality control during the implementation of a new finance system

  • Produce and oversee daily cash flow forecasting to support strategic decision-making.

  • Act as the firm's audit and tax lead, liaising with auditors and external advisors.

  • Deliver Board Pack reporting and in-depth P&L variance analysis for Heads of Department and cost centre managers.

  • Take ownership of budget compilation, reforecasting, and financial planning.

  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of three, driving performance and accuracy across reporting and ledger functions.

About You

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with strong technical knowledge.

  • Experienced in management reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis, ideally within professional services.

  • Hands-on, adaptable, and confident working with both senior stakeholders and junior team members.

  • Strong systems knowledge, with experience in Power BI and modern finance systems.

  • Collaborative by nature, with the ability to influence and challenge when needed.
