A well-established, Liverpool-based business is seeking a Finance Manager to join their team on a 12-month fixed term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven finance professional who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and enjoys leading a team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing day-to-day financial operations, providing mentorship and support to a small team, and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting across multiple sites within the group.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts and ensure timely reporting
- Monitor and manage cash flow, including accurate forecasting
- Oversee VAT return processes, ensuring timely and compliant submissions
- Coordinate annual budget preparation and regular re-forecasting activities
- Maintain robust stock valuation procedures and controls
- Reconcile intercompany accounts across the group
- Manage and maintain the fixed asset register
- Liaise with external auditors and oversee the year-end statutory audit process
- Standardise financial reporting across all UK sites, while addressing site-specific requirements
- Provide line management support within the finance department, as appropriate
- Deliver accurate and timely reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Support on ad hoc financial projects as required
