Finance Director Liverpool £75K - £90K + car allowance + bonus
A high growth business in the heart of Liverpool City Centre have a newly created vacancy for Finance Director.
This is an opportunity for a commercially curious, operationally focused finance leader who wants to be at the heart of the business , not behind the numbers. Working closely with the Managing Director and leadership team, you will play a central role in shaping strategy, improving margins and influencing day-to-day operational decisions .
Rather than a traditional reporting-led role, this position offers end-to-end ownership of the finance function with real authority and visibility. You will combine statutory and governance responsibility with true business partnering across operations, pricing and productivity.
The Role
- Full ownership of statutory reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial control
- Act as a trusted commercial partner to operations on cost control, margin analysis and efficiency
- Shape and support pricing, tariff and operational decisions
- Improve financial processes, controls and management information
- Lead and develop a small finance team
- Work closely with the Managing Director as part of the senior leadership group
- Bring financial challenge, clarity and insight to both short-term decisions and long-term strategy
- Spend time outside the finance office , getting into the operational detail when required
The Person
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Proven finance leadership experience with a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves approach
- Strong commercial acumen and operational mindset
- Comfortable challenging and influencing senior stakeholders with credibility
- Curious, pragmatic and motivated by building and improving , not maintaining the status quo
- Enjoys working in a business that is evolving and growing
