We are delighted to be supporting a growing UK manufacturing business that is looking to appoint a Commercial Finance Business Partner on a 12-18 month fixed term contract. This role is ideal for a part qualified or newly qualified accountant who thrives in a commercial, fast paced environment and enjoys partnering with operational and sales teams. Working closely with the UK Finance Director and wider commercial finance team, you will play a key role in driving insight, improving financial reporting, and supporting data-driven decision making across the business. This is a hybrid role with excellent exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to add real value during an exciting period of growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor customer, product and business profitability, highlighting key performance drivers.
- Prepare, analyse and manage P&Ls across multiple channels.
- Support pricing, rebates and margin improvement initiatives.
- Provide commercial insight and challenge to ensure delivery of financial targets.
- Lead and support actions linked to variances, forecasts and business performance.
Material Costing
- Analyse commodity movements and their impact on UK P&L.
- Perform monthly and adhoc costing runs.
- Support procurement and planning teams with relevant costing insights.
Reporting & Analysis
- Enhance reporting capabilities using advanced Excel and Power BI.
- Produce key reports including:
- Monthly factbooks
- Weekly sales reports
- Forecasting models
- Variable profit analysis
Business Partnering
- Provide commercial support to sales and key account teams.
- Deliver timely financial information to support fact based decision-making.
- Build strong relationships across finance, sales, planning and procurement.
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
- North West based, able to attend the office on the Wirral 3 days a week.
- Experience in manufacturing is highly advantageous.
- Strong analytical, communication and business partnering skills.
- Advanced Excel skills, including modelling (Power BI experience desirable).
- Proactive, self-starter with the confidence to challenge and influence.
What's on Offer
- £50,000 - £55,000 salary (depending on experience).
