Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a growing, UK-based manufacturing organisation who are seeking to appoint an experienced Financial Controller to join the team on an initial 3-6 month contract (temp-to-perm opportunity). Based in the North West, you will work a hybrid model. This opportunity is ideal for an immediately available Finance professional with strong manufacturing experience, looking for a role with long-term potential.
Salary/benefits: £65,000-£70,000 (pro rata / equivalent) Flexible working - hybrid model available
Job Duties:
- Oversee accounts payable and sales processing, supervising 1 member of staff
- Full production of monthly management accounts pack with detailed commentary
- Provide analysis of month-end reporting, including variance analysis
- Take ownership of the costing model, ensuring accuracy and continuous improvement
- Analyse profit margins by customer and product line
- Manage invoice discounting processes and cash management activities
- Produce robust cashflow forecasting
- Provide financial and stock control support to senior leadership team
- Mentor and develop junior team members in accounting best practices
Who will I report in to? Finance Director
When will interviews be taking place? Interviews will be happening as soon as possible
Ideal experience:
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified (or Qualified by Experience)
- Previous Financial Controller or senior finance experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM), MRP systems and margin analysis
- Experience with Sage 200 and ideally Sicon Manufacturing (or similar integrated MRP systems)
- Working knowledge of Business Intelligence tools advantageous
- Strong Excel skills with the ability to manipulate large data sets
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Well organised with the ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
