A well-established and forward-thinking accountancy practice in Warrington is looking to appoint an experienced Client Manager to join its growing General Practice team. Working within a team of around 20, you'll take responsibility for a varied portfolio of owner-managed and privately owned businesses, including clients with turnovers typically ranging from £5m to £15m . This is a genuinely broad general practice role. The firm looks after the full accounting needs of its clients, so you'll be involved across year-end accounts, management accounts, tax and ongoing client support and advisory. Client Manager Responsibilities Managing a varied portfolio of clients, typically with turnovers between £5m and £15m. Preparing and reviewing year-end statutory accounts. Reviewing more complex accounts and providing technical support where required. Preparing and reviewing management accounts. Overseeing corporation tax and wider tax compliance requirements for your portfolio. Working with clients with more complex structures, including groups of companies. Acting as a key point of contact and developing strong, long-term client relationships. Understanding clients' businesses beyond the numbers and identifying where additional support or advice may be required. Managing deadlines, workloads and workflow across your portfolio. Supporting and developing more junior members of the team. Working closely with colleagues across the wider practice to provide a joined-up service to clients. Embracing technology, automation and process improvements to make both the client experience and internal processes more efficient. Client Manager Attributes Strong experience within a UK accountancy practice environment. Comfortable managing or working closely with clients in the £5m-£15m turnover range. Technically strong across year-end accounts, management accounts and tax. Experience preparing and/or reviewing more complex accounts. Exposure to group accounts or more complex company structures would be particularly beneficial. Confident dealing directly with clients and building trusted relationships. Commercially aware with a genuine client-service mindset. Comfortable using technology and interested in improving processes through systems and automation. ACA/ACCA qualified would be preferable, although a technically strong QBE with the right level of experience will absolutely be considered. Audit experience is not required.
