A growing Accountancy Practice is looking to appoint a Client Manager into their St Helens office. This is an excellent opportunity where you'll work closely with a broad portfolio of SME clients, managing relationships while producing high-quality accounts and tax work, with the opportunity to mentor junior staff and genuinely add value to clients. Whether you are fully qualified, part-qualified or a strong QBE accountant, this role offers the chance to join a people-focused environment with long-term progression opportunities.

Client Manager Responsibilities:

  • Prepare year-end accounts for a varied portfolio of clients including limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships.
  • Produce corporation tax computations and returns for review by senior leadership.
  • Prepare deferred tax calculations and tax reconciliations.
  • Complete VAT returns and support clients with Making Tax Digital (MTD) requirements.
  • Prepare periodic management accounts and management information reporting.
  • Ensure statutory accounts and corporation tax returns are submitted within Companies House and HMRC deadlines.
  • Act as a key point of contact for client queries via phone, email, and face-to-face meetings.
  • Manage your own portfolio of clients with oversight from senior leadership.
  • Review work prepared by junior staff and support with training and development.
