Fancy putting your financial reporting skills to work in the heart of Liverpool City Centre - without committing forever? We are on the lookout for a Financial Reporting Accountant to join our friendly, fast-paced finance team on a 6-month contract, starting immediately. This role offers the best of both worlds with hybrid working - 3 days in the office and 2 from home - plus the chance to make a real impact from day one.
What you will be getting stuck into:
- Preparing statutory accounts in line with FRS 102
- Supporting the year-end and month-end close processes
- Producing high-quality financial statements and disclosures
- Liaising with external auditors and responding to audit queries
- Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring accuracy
- Maintaining strong financial controls and documentation
- Assisting with technical accounting queries and reporting improvements
What we are looking for:
- A qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Solid experience with statutory accounts and FRS 102
- Someone confident, hands-on, and happy to hit the ground running
- A team player with a good sense of humour (important around here!)
